Hello, I’m ANDREA MARANVILLE

welcome to my site. I’m so glad you are here. I am a wife, mom of four, self proclaimed foodie, self taught cook, baker, home maker who turned my passion for food into a wholesale bakery Silver City Baking Company, Retail Bakery and Cafe, Sweet Life of a Baker Bakery and pastry chef and culinary instructor.

I started to cook and bake 15 years ago when we went from two incomes to one and it was to simply put dishes on our family dinner table to accommodate our budget. It's no secret that "scratch cooking" is cheaper than the alternative. Over the years my love for the kitchen developed into a passion for the art of a

food and a never ending urge to learn and master classic sweet and savory recipes, failing forward the entire way. I take great pride in creating real life recipes and tips for the home cook. But, I also LOVE to get a "fancy" too. I dont like baking with wacky flavors....I simply cook and share what I like to eat. My favorite flavor is vanilla bean and there is NOTHING "vanilla" about vanilla!

I went from amateur baker to being catapulted onto the national TV scene as one of the top ten cast in the country to be featured on ABC’s 2018 “The Great American Baking Show - Holiday Edition”. I competed in 18 baking challenges ultimately finishing as a runner up in the finale show. I hope that you enjoy all that I share and come back often to see whats new.

I turned this hobby into a passion, and my passion into a business and love sharing food and my story with others, hopefully inspiring them to pick up a wisk in the kitchen and pursue goals and dreams.

It is my goal for this page to continue sharing with you my story, food pics, recipes and some of the tips I use that can put delicious dinners and desserts on your own table. But, if you dont want make it yourself, I offer my treats through my bakery Sweet Life of a Baker Bakery and online shipping too. Sharing food and inspiration is the goal of this page and ultimately my mission.

As Julia Child said, “If you can read, you can cook.”

From my home to yours,

Andrea
